• 人との関係には with をよく使う

  「Aとよい関係がある」は have a good relationship with A と言うのが自然。例: I have a good relationship with my boss.

• 2つの物事の関連は between A and B

  物事どうしの関係を述べるときは the relationship between A and B がよく使われる。例: the relationship between exercise and health.

• relation との違い

  relationship は具体的・継続的な関係を表しやすく、人間関係や恋愛関係によく使う。relation は「関連」や「親族」という意味でやや硬めに使われることがある。

よくある間違い

• 誤: I have a good relationship to my teacher.

  正: I have a good relationship with my teacher.

  人との関係を表すときは、通常 relationship with 人 を使う。relationship to は親族関係や形式的な関係を尋ねる場面で使われることが多い。

• 誤: We made a good relationship with the client.

  関係を少しずつ作るという意味では make より build や develop が自然。
