使い方

  • よい意味で使うことが多い

    impressive は基本的に「感心するほどすごい」という肯定的な意味で使います。悪い意味で強い印象を表す場合は shocking や disturbing などを使うことが多いです。

    物や出来事が人に印象を与えるときは impressive、人が感心した状態は impressed を使います。例: The speech was impressive. / I was impressed by the speech.

よくある間違い

    正: I was impressed by her performance.
