つつく、軽く突く 指・棒・ひじなどで、相手や物を軽く押すように突くこと。注意を引くときや、物の状態を確かめるときによく使います。
突き出す、顔を出す 物や体の一部が外に出る、または外へ出すこと。poke out, poke through, poke one's head out などの形でよく使います。
探る、のぞき回る poke around の形で、場所・物・情報などをあちこち探すこと。少しくだけた表現で、好奇心で調べる感じがあります。

poke は stab のように強く刺す意味ではなく、指や棒で軽く押す・つつく感じです。ただし、目など危ない場所に使うと強い注意の意味になります。

poke around は、目的がはっきりしていないまま、あちこち探したり見たりする表現です。店や部屋、ウェブサイトなどにも使えます。

「〜をからかう」は poke fun at someone/something と言います。poke fun to someone とは普通言いません。
