• opposition to の形が多い

  何に反対しているかを言うときは、よく opposition to + 名詞 を使います。例: opposition to the plan（その計画への反対）。

• 政治では the opposition

  政治の文脈で the opposition と言うと、ふつう「野党」または「政府に反対する側」を意味します。

• opposition と objection の違い

  opposition は反対の立場や反対運動全体を表しやすく、objection は会議や議論での具体的な「異議・反論」を表しやすい語です。

よくある間違い

  against も文脈によって使われますが、名詞 opposition の後では opposition to が最も一般的で自然です。
