incompetent
能力がない、無能な 仕事や役割をうまく行うための知識・技術・判断力が足りないという意味。かなり強く批判的な言い方です。
〜する能力がない、不適任な 特定の作業や職務に対して十分な能力がないことを表します。at, in, to do などと一緒に使われます。

かなり強い批判語
incompetent は単に「まだ上手ではない」より強く、「仕事を任せるには能力が足りない」という厳しい評価です。丁寧に言いたい場合は not experienced enough や needs more training を使うと柔らかくなります。

特定のことが苦手・不適任と言うときは incompetent at handling complaints, incompetent in his role のように at や in を使います。法律・正式な文では incompetent to make decisions のように to do が使われます。
