  • よく使う形: in defiance of

    in defiance of は『〜を無視して』『〜に逆らって』という意味です。後ろには law, order, ban, warning, authority などがよく来ます。

  • 不可算名詞として使うことが多い

    defiance は通常 a defiance とは言わず、show defiance や an act of defiance のように使います。
