使い方

  • correlation と causation の違い

    correlation は「一緒に変化する関係」、causation は「原因と結果の関係」です。例えば、アイスクリームの売上と熱中症が同時に増えても、アイスクリームが熱中症を起こすとは限りません。暑さという別の原因があるかもしれません。

  • よく使う形

    There is a correlation between A and B（AとBの間に相関がある）、a strong correlation（強い相関）、a positive correlation（正の相関）、a negative correlation（負の相関）の形でよく使います。

よくある間違い

  • 誤: Correlation means causation.

    正: Correlation does not necessarily mean causation.
