迷子の、飼い主のいない 犬や猫などの動物が家や飼い主から離れている、または飼い主がいない状態を表します。
はぐれた、道に迷った 人や物が本来いる場所や集団から離れてしまったことを表します。
偶然の、ぽつんとした、余分な 本来の流れや場所から外れて、1つだけ残ったり現れたりするものに使います。stray hair「はみ出た髪」、stray comment「何気ない一言」など。
