floor と ground の違い
floor は主に建物や部屋の中の「床」を指します。ground は屋外の「地面」を指すことが多いです。例: on the floor「床の上に」、on the ground「地面の上に」。

英語では「〜階に」は基本的に on the second floor のように on を使います。in the second floor とは普通言いません。

first floor は国で意味が違うことがある
アメリカ英語では first floor は日本語の「1階」と同じです。イギリス英語では ground floor が「1階」、first floor が「2階」を指すことがあります。
よくある間違い
