絵にも文章にも使える
depict は絵や写真で「描く」場合にも、文章・映画・報道などで「描写する」場合にも使えます。日本語の「描く」に近いですが、やや書き言葉・説明的な響きがあります。

「AをBとして描く」と言いたいときは depict A as B を使います。as を忘れないようにしましょう。例: The media depicted him as a hero.
