bestow A on/upon B の形が基本
「BにAを授ける」は bestow A on B または bestow A upon B と言います。upon は on より少し改まった響きがあります。

bestow は賞、名誉、祝福、権利などを「正式に与える」感じの語です。友だちに物をあげる普通の場面では give のほうが自然です。
