使い方

かたい書き言葉で使う
thereafter は after that や from then on よりフォーマルです。日常会話では after that や then のほうが自然なことが多いです。

名詞を直接続けない
thereafter は副詞なので、thereafter the meeting のように直後に名詞を置くのは不自然です。「会議の後」は after the meeting と言います。
よくある間違い
