• rotate と spin の違い

  rotate は「軸を中心に回る」というやや説明的・技術的な語です。spin は「速くくるくる回る」という感じが強く、日常会話でもよく使います。例: The Earth rotates. / The top is spinning.

• 自動詞と他動詞の両方で使える

  rotate は目的語なしで「回転する」、目的語ありで「〜を回転させる」の意味になります。例: The fan rotates.「扇風機が回転する」/ Rotate the handle.「ハンドルを回してください」

• 交代の意味では人や役割に使う
