使い方

• questionnaire と survey の違い

  questionnaire は「質問が並んだ用紙・フォーム」そのものを指すことが多いです。survey は「調査」全体を指すことが多く、その中で questionnaire が使われることがあります。

• よく使う動詞

  questionnaire には complete、fill out、answer などの動詞がよく使われます。特に complete a questionnaire と fill out a questionnaire は自然です。

よくある間違い

• 誤: I wrote a questionnaire.

  正: I filled out a questionnaire.

  回答者として記入した場合は write より fill out や complete が自然です。write a questionnaire は「アンケートを作成する」という意味に聞こえます。

• 誤: Please answer to the questionnaire.

  正: Please answer the questionnaire.

  answer は他動詞として使うので、通常 answer to the questionnaire ではなく answer the questionnaire と言います。ただし complete や fill out のほうがより自然な場合も多いです。
