  動詞

  学校、店、駅、国など、ある場所へ向かって移動することを表します。to の後ろには目的地を置きます。

  句

  go to school、go to class、go to a party のように、場所や活動へ定期的に行く意味でも使います。

使い方

• to の後は目的地

  go to the park、go to Tokyo のように、to の後ろには行き先を置きます。

• home には to を付けない

  home は副詞として使えるため、go home と言います。go to home とは普通言いません。

• go to school は冠詞なし

  学校へ通う意味では go to school と言い、the を付けません。特定の校舎へ行く意味なら go to the school もあります。

よくある間違い

• 誤: I go school every day.

  正: I go to school every day.

  目的地を表す school の前には to が必要です。

• 誤: Let's go to home.

  正: Let's go home.

  home は副詞として使えるため、to は不要です。

• 誤: She goes to there by bus.

  正: She goes there by bus.

  there も副詞なので、to を付けません。
