assure
安心させる、確信させる 相手の心配や疑いをなくすために、「大丈夫だ」「本当だ」とはっきり伝えること。多くの場合、assure someone の形で人を目的語にします。
保証する、断言する あることが本当である、または必ず起こると強く言うこと。I assure you that ... は「本当に〜です」「〜だと保証します」という意味です。
確実にする、確保する ある結果や状態が起こるようにする、という意味。ややかたい表現で、日常では ensure のほうがよく使われます。

assure はふつう「assure + 人 + that ...」の形で使い、「人に〜だと保証して安心させる」という意味になります。例: She assured me that everything was fine.

assure は相手に言葉で保証して安心させることに重点があります。ensure は何かを実際に確実にすることに重点があります。例: I assured him the door was locked. は「鍵がかかっていると彼に保証した」、I checked the door to ensure it was locked. は「鍵がかかっていることを確かめた」。

I assure you は「本当に」「間違いなく」という強い言い方です。少しかしこまった響きがあり、相手の疑いをなくしたいときに使います。
