断固とした、考えを変えない 自分の意見・決定・要求を強く持ち、説得されても変えようとしない様子を表します。
強く主張している、強く決意している 「〜について絶対に譲らない」「〜だと強く言う」という意味で、be adamant about ... や be adamant that ... の形でよく使います。

adamas : 征服されないもの、非常に硬い物
