自分たちで、彼らだけで by themselves の形で、「他の人の助けなしに」「彼らだけで」という意味になります。
彼ら自身が、本人たちが 名詞や代名詞を強調して、「ほかの人ではなく、その人たち本人が」という意味を表します。
