使い方

• technical と technological の違い

  technical は「専門的・技術上の」という広い意味で、technical problem や technical skills のように使います。technological は「科学技術・テクノロジーの発展に関する」という意味が強く、technological progress のように使います。

• technical は難しい内容にも使える

  technical explanation や technical language は、専門知識がない人には分かりにくい説明・言葉という意味になります。

• 名詞の前でよく使う形容詞

  technical は technical issue, technical support, technical details のように、名詞の前に置いて使うことが多い形容詞です。

よくある間違い

• 誤: We had a technic problem.

  正: We had a technical problem.

  technic は普通この意味の形容詞として使いません。「技術的な問題」は technical problem が自然です。

  正: The document is too technical for beginners.

  technique は「技法」という名詞です。「専門的すぎる」は形容詞 technical を使います。
