使い方

specification と specs
specification は正式で丁寧な語です。日常会話やIT・製品説明では、短く specs と言うことが多いです。例: Check the specs before buying it.

単数と複数の使い分け
1つの仕様書全体を指すときは a specification や the specification、細かい仕様項目をまとめて言うときは specifications がよく使われます。

requirement との違い
requirement は「必要条件・求められること」に重点があります。specification はそれを技術的・具体的に書いた「仕様・仕様書」に重点があります。
よくある間違い

誤: Please send me the specification informations.
正: Please send me the specification information.
information は不可算名詞なので informations にはしません。より自然には Please send me the specifications. とも言えます。

誤: The machine is different with the specification.
正: The machine is different from the specification.
「〜と違う」は different from を使います。仕様に合わないという意味なら does not match the specification も自然です。

discuss は他動詞なので、目的語を直接置きます。about は不要です。
