使い方

  • 「無罪」と「無邪気」の両方に使う

    innocent は文脈によって「犯罪をしていない」と「悪意がない・純粋だ」の意味になります。court, charge, crime などが近くにあれば法律的な意味になりやすいです。

  • innocent of の形

    犯罪や責任について『〜に関して無罪の』と言うときは innocent of を使います。例: innocent of theft（窃盗について無罪の）。

  • naive との違い

    innocent は『純粋で悪意がない』という良い響きもあります。naive は『経験不足でだまされやすい』という少し否定的な響きが強いことがあります。

    犯罪について『無罪である』と言うときは for ではなく of を使います。
