  • headmaster / headmistress との違い

    headmaster は男性の校長、headmistress は女性の校長を指す語ですが、やや古く、性別を強調します。headteacher は性別に関係なく使える自然な語です。

  • 大学にはあまり使わない

    headteacher は主に学校の校長に使います。大学の学部長などには dean、大学の長には president や vice-chancellor などを使います。
