attendance と presence の違い
attendance は学校・会議・イベントなどへの『出席・参加』を表すことが多く、記録や人数にも使えます。presence は単に『その場にいること・存在』を表す広い語です。

不可算名詞と可算的な使い方
『出席』という状態を表すときは通常不可算名詞です。一方、数値として『出席者数』を表すときも attendance と言い、a high attendance のように形容詞を付けて使うことがあります。
よくある間違い

正: I will attend the meeting tomorrow.
『会議に出席する』は動詞 attend を使います。attendance は名詞なので、この文では不自然です。
