調整する、少し変える 何かが合うように、位置・量・設定などを少し変えること。機械、予定、温度、音量などによく使います。
慣れる、順応する 新しい環境、状況、生活などに少しずつ慣れてうまく対応できるようになること。多くの場合 adjust to の形で使います。
整える、合わせる 服、姿勢、眼鏡、鏡などの位置を正しくしたり、ぴったり合うように直したりすること。

使い方

adjust と adjust to の違い
adjust は「何かを調整する」という他動詞として使えます。adjust to は「〜に慣れる、順応する」という意味で、新しい状況や環境の前に使います。例: adjust the settings（設定を調整する）、adjust to a new job（新しい仕事に慣れる）。

change より細かい調整
adjust は大きく変えるというより、「ちょうどよくするために少し変える」ニュアンスがあります。予定、温度、音量、位置などに自然です。
よくある間違い

Old French / Late Latin
ajuster / adjuxtare : 近くに置く、合わせる
adjust は古フランス語 ajuster を通じて英語に入りました。さらにさかのぼると、ラテン語の ad-（〜へ）と juxta（近くに）に関係し、『近づけて合わせる』という考えから現在の『調整する』という意味につながっています。
