使い方

• friend と friendship の違い

  friend は「友達」という人を表す名詞で、friendship は「友情」「友人関係」という関係や気持ちを表す名詞です。例: She is my friend. は「彼女は私の友達です」、Our friendship is important. は「私たちの友情は大切です」。

• 数えられる場合と数えられない場合

  一般的な「友情」という気持ちを言うときは不可算名詞として friendship を使います。特定の人との「1つの友人関係」を言うときは a friendship と言えます。

よくある間違い

• 誤: I made a friendship with Ken yesterday.

  正: I made friends with Ken yesterday.
