使い方

  • 必ず大文字で書く

    惑星名・神の名前として使うときは固有名詞なので Mars と大文字で始めます。小文字の mars は普通の英語では一般的ではありません。

  • 冠詞をつけないのが普通

    惑星名としては “Mars is red.” のように、普通は the を付けません。ただし “the planet Mars”（火星という惑星）のような形では the を使います。

  • 発音の違い

    イギリス英語では /mɑːz/ のように r を発音しないことが多く、アメリカ英語では /mɑːrz/ のように r を発音します。
