• 人に直接使うと強い言い方

  You are ignorant. は「あなたは無知だ」という強い批判に聞こえます。やわらかく言うなら You may not know this. や He is not familiar with the topic. などが自然です。

• ignorant of の形がよく使われる

  「〜を知らない」「〜に気づいていない」は ignorant of something と言います。ignorant about も使われますが、ignorant of は少し硬めでよく見られる形です。

• ignore とは意味が違う

  ignorant は「知らない」、ignore は「知っているのに無視する」という意味です。形が似ていますが、意味は同じではありません。
