使い方

  • decade と century の違い

    decade は「10年間」、century は「100年間」です。例えば two decades は20年、two centuries は200年です。

  • the past decade / the last decade

    どちらも「過去10年間」という意味でよく使われます。the past decade は今から見た最近の10年を強調し、the last decade もほぼ同じ意味で使えます。

  • 年代を言うときは the を付ける

    1990年代は the 1990s、または the nineties と言います。正式な文章では the 1990s が分かりやすいです。
