• ふつうはtheを付ける

  組織として言うときは、多くの場合「the BBC」と言います。例: I saw it on the BBC. ただし、名詞を修飾するときは「BBC News」「BBC radio」のようにtheを付けないことがあります。

  BBCはBritish Broadcasting Corporationの略です。日常会話やニュースでは、正式名称よりBBCの形が圧倒的によく使われます。

よくある間違い

• 誤: I watched a news on BBC.

  正: I watched the news on the BBC.

  「ニュース番組を見る」は英語で「watch the news」が自然です。また、組織・放送局としてはふつう「the BBC」と言います。

  正: The BBC said that it will rain tomorrow.

  BBCを主語にして『BBCが報じた』と言う場合、通常は定冠詞theを付けて「The BBC said/reported...」とします。
