使い方

• 複数形は axes

  axis の複数形は axes です。つづりは axe（斧）の複数形 axes と同じですが、発音は axis の複数形では /ˈæk.siːz/ になります。

• 数学では x-axis / y-axis がよく使われる

  横軸は x-axis、縦軸は y-axis と言います。horizontal axis（横軸）、vertical axis（縦軸）も自然です。
