何か、何でも 疑問文や条件文で、特定していない物事を指すときに使います。「何か」「どんなことでも」という意味です。
何も 否定文で使うと、「何も〜ない」という意味になります。not と一緒に使うのが一般的です。
何でも、どんなことでも 肯定文で、選択に制限がないことを表します。「どんなものでも」「どんなことでも」という意味です。

否定文では not anything が基本
「何も〜ない」は not anything で表せます。例: I don't know anything. は「私は何も知りません」。nothing も使えますが、I don't know nothing. のように not と nothing を一緒に使うのは標準英語では避けます。

something との違い
anything は疑問文・否定文・条件文でよく使います。something は肯定文や、相手が yes と答えそうな申し出でよく使います。例: Do you want something to drink? は自然な申し出です。

anything but は「決して〜ではない」という強い否定です。The movie was anything but boring. は「その映画はまったく退屈ではなかった」という意味です。
よくある間違い
